How to Disable a Campaign for Mobile Devices


Most people do not like overlays on their smartphones. Picreel allows you to keep your pop-up campaigns limited to large-screen devices such as laptops/desktops and disable them for mobile devices.


By disabling campaigns for mobile devices, you can:


1. Deliver a smooth browsing experience to mobile users.

2. Encourage users to access your website on desktop/laptop for exclusive offers.


To disable campaigns for mobile devices:


Step 1: In your Picreel account,

  • Navigate to ‘Campaigns’ from the dashboard.

  • Move your cursor to the campaign you wish to disable for mobile devices and click ‘Settings.

Step 2: On the campaign settings page,

  • Scroll down and click the green arrow next to ‘Other Options’ to modify targeting options.

  • In the ‘Device type’ option, select ‘Desktop.’ Now, your campaign will appear only to visitors who use a PC.


Disabling a campaign on mobile


1. If you want to show your campaign on all devices, you need to create separate campaigns – one to be set for the Desktop & Tablet, and the other one for Mobile.
2. Please, make sure you choose one of the mobile-optimized designs when you set up a campaign for mobile devices. Also, trigger options should be set to "After X seconds,” "After scrolling up/down,” or both for all mobile campaigns.


Step 3: Click ‘Save’ to finalize the changes.
